ITUNOM UAV Team is a student project team that consists of engineering students from multiple disciplines.

AUVSI SUAS Competition

The team designed and built the Unmanned Air System for AUVSI SUAS 2019. The competition had 4 main missions:

• Autonomous Flight
• Obstacle Avoidance
• Object Detection, Classification and Localization (ODCL)
• Air Drop

As a team, we designed and manifactured the aircraft and rover. Developed the algorithms necessary for the mission specifications.

Due to an unfortunate motor malfunction, our UAV crashed and we lost almost half of our points. In result, we had the 8th rank.

Fighter UAV Competition

The team attended Fighter UAV, Teknofest. The competition basically required us to recognize other UAVs, lock on and follow them.
